Ubuntu-One website keeps saying "uploading"

Asked by sx

Hi everybody,
i have a problem concerning my file syncs. After copying files to the ubuntu-one folder i check my one-application for the sync status. Everything looks fine and after a while the application says "synchronization complete".
  u1sdtools --current-transfers also shows 0 for up- or downloads
  u1sdtools -s shows false for is_error
But when i check the website for my file it keeps on saying "uploading" (the filename is grey-ed out) (even after 1h) and i can't select or share the file.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks

edit: website and application say 0 bytes Used

Sorry for the delay in replying. Is this still an issue for you? If so, can you try running the following in a terminal session and let me know what the output is?

u1sdtool -d; u1sdtool -c
u1sdtool -s; u1sdtool --waiting-content; u1sdtool --waiting-metadata;

Also, can you let me know big the files are that you are that you are trying to sync?

Thank you,

Joshua

Hey Joshua,
thanks for your reply. Meanwhile the problem only occurs randomly... It is independent of the file sizes (tested with 300KB jpg up to 45MB media file). Sometimes the website keeps on saying "uploading" even after the u1 client said that the sync is complete (my first file said "uploading" for more than one week (small mp3 file)).
I forgot to mention that if i upload that exact same file directly over the website, it works just fine - and in case there is such an greyed out "uploading" file, it will be available after i reuploaded it over the website.

u1sdtool -d, -c, --waiting-content, --waiting-metadata:
no output

u1sdtool -s:
State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing queues
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: IDLE

Thanks, sx

OK, Since this doesn't happen consistently for you, can you please do the following?

1. Create a new file ~/.config/ubuntuone/logging.conf and these two lines;
[logging]
level = DEBUG

2. Run the following from a terminal session: u1sdtool -q; u1sdtool -c

3. If you see this problem happen again, please file a bug at: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+filebug

4. Run this command, replacing ###### with the bug number from the step above: apport-collect -p ubuntuone-client ######

5. Run this commandd from a terminal session: tar cjf ~/Desktop/u1_logs.tar.bz2 ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log

6. Attach ~/Desktop/u1_logs.tar.bz2 to the bug report

Thank you,

Joshua
