I have a linked folder in my ubuntu one folder wich is not being added.

Asked by Simon Mcilhargey

I use multiple hardrives and I have most of my schoolwork on a second hard drive that allows me to acces ot both through Ubuntu and windows as my defualt documents folder, problem is when I added it to ubuntu one as a link since it is not actually in my home folder but on another hd. Ubuntu one will not add the files or sub directories to it. This is only a problem becuase any edits I make on my laptop or school computers I would like to changed on this folder.

Simon,
Unfortunately a link in the Ubuntu One folder will not work. In the Lucid version of Ubuntu One there is User Designated Folders. Those folders have to be in your $HOME. Not sure if creating a mount point in your $HOME directory for the ext. HD would work or not.

thank you,
