Why doesn't the sync status notification show up on Lucid?

Asked by José A. Muñiz

I'm running 10.4 and the sync status notifications don't show up for me. Ever. That is they have *never* shown up.

I do know that syncs sometimes happen, since I can see files on the web ui, but I would really like the notifications since they can help me troubleshoot problems. On a related note, where can I look for Lucid based info? I'm trying to figure out a few problems.

Hi José,

We changed how notifications of Ubuntu One synchronization works. To see the overall status of file synchronization, you will be able to see it from the Ubuntu One Preferences, which can be found from either the new Me menu in Lucid or System->Preferences->Ubuntu One Preferences. This should be in for the beta 2 freeze, which is Thursday next week.

For general info on Lucid, look here: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/lucid/beta1 For help on particular issues, you can search bug reports (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu) or the Ubuntu Forums (http://ubuntuforums.org/).

Thank you,

Joshua
