What happens when my ubuntu-one storage is greater than that available on my HD?

Asked by Van M Yadack

What happens when my ubuntu-one storage is greater than that available on my HD? Will all my files still be accessible from, for example, my 8GB netbook, just as they would from my desktop (which has way more local storage capacity)? I´d like to know this before buying extra ubuntu-one storage...

myidbe,
If you add the netbook to your Ubuntu One account it will try and sync all the files. You can see the bug report that has been attached for more info and to track the progress of this issue. What i would recommend is not adding the netbook to your list of registered machines but when on your netbook access the files through the web interface instead of the ubuntuone-client. This will allow you to still upload and download files but not sync the whole 50GB.

thank you,
