Search

Asked by Jugney

Is there a way to search my Ubuntu One content (filenames, note names and contents, contact fields) ?

If not, this would be a killer feature to add. It would be especially helpful when accessing from another, non-ubuntu computer and not remembering where a file is located. The interface is not very fast for drilling down through subfolders, so this would really help.

Not yet. I spent most of dinner tonight talking with Kapil about
cassandra and xapien and how we might be able to add search. It won't
be available in the Ubuntu 10.04 time frame, but it is definitely a
capability that I would like to add, especially since having good
search is essential in order to make Ubuntu One useful on a mobile
phone device.
