Is the drop down menu greyed out, or is it accessible the entry just does not exist?

The Ubuntu One Tomboy Sync works in Karmic or newer. You can 'dpkg -l tomboy' to make sure you have the right version. Which would be tomboy 1.0.1-0ubuntu1. Also in preferences you can check the Add-Ins tab and make sure Web Sync Service Add-In is 'Enabled'

Hi. Have run 'dpkg -l tomboy' & it tells me I have ; 0.14.0-0ubuntu1. Checked this in Synaptic which confirms this is the package installed & also that it is the latest available. Also checked the preferences again and the 'WebDav Sync Service' add-in is already enabled.BTW, running 9.04,Jaunty.

WebDAV Sync is something different than 'Web Sync Service'. You are running Jaunty, unfortunately the Ubuntu One Tomboy Sync only works in Karmic(9.10) or Lucid(10.04).
