Hi Steve,

I tried to reproduce the problem but file upload appears to be working fine. Are you able to reliably reproduce the issue?
In order to investigate further we also need the information about the browser you are using, e.g. name and version.

Were there any problems with file uploads on other servers? (possible MTU problem, if a packet is larger than max segment size for the given link and ICMP 3:4 response gets lost)

steve, could you please perform the following:

1. try to upload a short file of, say, 200 bytes long.
2. try to upload a long file of, say, 5000 bytes long.
3. post the output of tracepath -n files.one.ubuntu.com here

If the second attempt fails and first succeeds then it is possibly pmtu problem, then we will need the info from tracepath.
Have you experienced any upload issues with other online services?

Hi Roman,
well, i managed to upload a jpg-65.1kb and an mp3-3.4mb. tried an avi music vid-64.6mb but that didnt work.
not sure what you mean about upload issues with other services, dont think i've tried uploading before but have no problem with downloads.
here is tracepath result-
steve@steve-desktop:~$ tracepath -n files.one.ubuntu.com

Steve, it looks like you have completely firewalled your system so that no ICMP responses are able to reach you.
Are you able to ping ubuntu.com ?

Have you configured the firewall on your machine or router that connects you to the Internet?
Also, what tupe of connection do you have to the internet (DSL, Ethernet, etc..) and what is the connection to your router (Ethernet or WiFi, if there is a router)?

Ok, now tracepath looks fine (host lookups after 13 are blocked by Amazon infrastructure, so it is ok).

In order to ping, simply perform ping command in the Terminal:

$ ping ubuntuone.com

Are you able to upload files now, given that your host seems to be reachable for ICMP responses?
