My own installation issues are quite some time ago, let me see if I can

You have to install the software via synaptic, as usual

I think this what was my inital problem too. After adding the ubuntuone
repository to the repository list, I still did not see the ubuntuone
packages in synaptic. For me reload finally worked.
If it does not work for you I think you have a different problem as I had.
