Unable to get net connection

Asked by SAM DANIEL

Hi;

I am new user to Ubutu 12.04. i have two connections on my ubutnu machine. 1 is a USB Dongle connection. The device name is ppp0 . This provides net connection for my Ubuntu machine. It also has another connection called eth0 which is a LAN card which gets IP and routing information from a router(wireless accesspoint) .

When i connect both the connections my internet connection fails and if i connect only the PPP0 connection i am able to get internet.
Later my challenge is that this internet connection from my Ubuntu machine has to be shared to a windows machine which is conected to my wireless router.

Please advice.

Please note that the Ipaddress of my Ubuntu eth0 is statically assigned.

This has to do with the routing table. This would be better solved in the forums.

Since this is for a router set up, you will want to find a guide on how to properly set up a router. There are extra options that have to be changed.

Can you help with this problem?
