special keys on notebook

Asked by trylik

can you tell me where can i change the action of special - notebook - keys?

many of them are well recognized but i wan't to change something:
for example, when i press the "mail" key - window with new Kmail mail appears, and becaouse i use the evolution, i'd like to change it

i have also a key with magnification, and i'd like something like that:

when i press that button, the kMag tool is active, when i press it again - it is closed

Unfortualetly in KDE/Kubuntu it's actually a little more challanging than gnome/Ubuntu.

This link (http://clunixchit.blogspot.com/2006/10/kde-multimediaextended-keys-setup-on.html) describes one way of doing it.

When it say's do as root, you need to put 'sudo' before the command. This will ask for your current user password.

If your a complete 'noob' you may find this a little bit challanging. If so, drop me a message and we can go through it over IM.
