Is it possible I upgrade the present Ubuntu 12.04 cd to dvd full package

Asked by Rohith Kumar

I have the Ubuntu 12.04 ISO image of CD version which got less packages as it says. I was thinking, since I do have now the CD. Is it possible, I zsync the DVD available in http://mirror.eftel.com/ubuntu-dvd/12.04/release/ with my existing ISO of less package in drive, to upgrade with all the available packages for future use. Will that works! Just to know.. If yes it is possible how to do it.

Help.

I don't believe so, you could try but be sure to MD5 test the resulting ISO so that you know the data is correct.

I too do doubt will it happens, since the zsync link in that site have "dvd" in between " -"
ubuntu-12.04-dvd-i386.iso.zsync .

and the ISO what we have may be ubuntu-12.04-i386.iso or any other name..

If that zsync works, as I thought, I guess, that would be fun to do for many. get the CD and later Zsync it when required for DVD so that it maps the MD5 test as well isn't!
