I think Zoneminder is installed as per my last question but....

Asked by pilty

I can find Zoneminder in the Synaptic passage now but I can't get it to run. It doesn't show on any of the menus at the top of my desktop either. I am new to Linux(less than 24 hours). Can anybody tell me how to run it or what I have done wrong please?

Hi pilty,

It is good to hear that you've already installed it on your ubuntu. About you problem, perhaps you can visit this forum:
http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5391

It is good to search the documentation about it, then try for yourself. On your previous question (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zoneminder/+question/71592), Steven Danna explain how to configure zoneminder. Take a look for awhile about her/his explanation.

Cheers..

Can anyone tell me if this has been built using mapped memory? It seems that I still need to change my shared memory settings.

Can you help with this problem?
