request to backport 'fix uio partial copies' to 0.8.3

Currently I'm dealing with a lot of issues on a ZFS array where it crashes with the error: "PANIC: zfs: accessing past end of object". It seems to be the exact problem addressed at https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/8673 and fixed by https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/pull/10148/commits. Right now the fix is applied only o 0.8.4. Is there any plan to backport this fix to 0.8.3?

I do not think that there is any plan for backporting that fix to an older release, as long as the developers aren't made aware of the problem and its urgency is high enough to justify a SRU.

There are PPAs with higher versions; you could use one of them as a workaround.
