Can the package upgrade an existing zabbix 1.0 installation?

I have an existing manual zabbix 1.0 installation. Can the zabbix package migrate the existing data? If not, is there any way to do that?

I think you should try to install using the package and investigate what the package does in installation.

You'll probably get an idea from there.

In general the classic migration from manual installations into packaged installations would be to back up the database/configurations, install the distro package, import the old database into the new installation, configure it, etc.

Please consult zabbix docs and ask their user support resources.
