Open a terminal by hitting CTRL + ALT + T and run this command:
youtube-dl --help

for see all the options. The simple usage is this:
youtube-dl <url>

in the terminal, for example:
youtube-dl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oasnbzEMV08

But recently it had a problem, nothing video can be downloaded... I think that somethings changed in YouTube.

The error is this:
ERROR: no fmt_url_map or conn information found in video info

So i strongly suggest to you to use one of this programs that works fine:
http://clipgrab.de/en
http://flavio.tordini.org/minitube
http://jdownloader.org/
