Picasa for Linux will not open

Asked by JOHN

I have downloaded Picasa for Linux. I installed it. The Picasa icon appeared on the Graphics page. I added the icon to my favorites page. When I click the icon to open Picasa, I see an "opening Picasa" popup but then nothing happens.

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and then type:

picasa

( might be the command to run is different from "picasa" i don't know the right executable name)

then copy and paste only errors messages here...
