How to install different os and uninstall ubuntu without an external dvd drive and without dual boot

Asked by shaungerard

I have tried ubuntu and like some of it but the programs i need are not available or do not work on this linux based system so I need to uninstall it in favor of another os. I am not very familiar with the linux command prompts and I have no external dvd drive. How do I do this in the simplest way possible?

If you have a USB stick you can useunetbootin to put a bootable ISO on a USB stick and boot to it (assuming the system can boot from USB). You can then delete the partitions making up Ubuntu (making sure you ave backed up all you need from the install) and install the new OS that way.

Can you help with this problem?
