You can reinstall another OS and simply delete the partition Ubuntu occupys. If you have used wubi then it can be removed using add/remove programs in control planel

If you dual boot with Windowa then read http://members.iinet.net.au/~herman546/p18.html#MbrFix.exe and after that remove Ubuntu with Ubuntu live CD or with other OS install CD.

I want to completely uninstall ubuntu
I am not getting a plain answer and where to go on this computer to do so.
A friend took out my windows XP Pro and put this in without my consent and rendered this computer useless.
He thought he was doing me a favor, refused to remove this and did not even give me the password.
Needless to say, we are no longer friends.
Ubuntu is the worst operating system I have ever tried to use.
I know Windows, Mac and am running Windows 8 preview on my new Intel 5 Laptop.

Please someone in plain english tell me how to get rid of Ubuntu & out of this computer in the simplest terms.

Thank you,

just install your windows installer disc, delete the partition using that and create anew one and install to that partition... the windows install disc will walk you though it anyhow....

you know though you can run both operating systems, and Linux is pretty good once you get used to it

Can you help with this problem?
