8 port serial card not showing up
I am pretty new to Ubuntu so this may be an easy answer. I ordered a new Dell (OptiPlex 780) desktop at work and along with it an 8 port serial card to go along with it. I opened up the Dell and added the serial card. I booted the computer up in Vista (OS that came with the computer) to test the serial ports. All were operational. I installed Ubuntu 9.10 and under dev I only see ttyS0 -3. So I have the default working and three of the serial ports from the card work (verified using minicom with a loopback), my problem is I cant get the other 5 serial ports to work/show up.
