how to convert a linux text file to win format

i tried to use the command unix2dos but it wasnt available so it asked me to download a package called tofrodos which when i tried to install with apt-get install it said couldnt find package.
plz tell wat to do now

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install tofrodos

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.
