unable to play mp4 video on realplayer

Hi,
I installed realplayer Gold11. It works for mp3 but mp4 does not play. A msg appears-"The player does not have the capabilities to play this content." Details shows-"The following components required".- video/X-RN-MP4
What to do? Please help.

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

rerun player. Do the files play in other media players (gnome-mplayer, vlc, totem etc)

Ok,
I installed ubuntu-restricted-extras. The files play in Movie player, Gnome Mplayer. But still NOT in Realplayer.

Yes, mp3 files play well. I downloaded RealPlayer11GOLD.deb. On click this folder a window 'Package Installer - realplay', appears. Then i followed in instructions. That completed the installation.

I'd remove it and install the realplayer from the medibuntu repo, it may help

Ok,
But I need the steps to do that. I m a newbie cant follow it.
