Do you have Cheese Webcam Booth installed?

You can find and install this software by going to the Ubuntu Software center and entering "cheese" in as the search keyword. Once cheese is installed, you will be able to find it under Applications -> Sound and Video.

This will help us know whether or not your webcam is actually working - once we know that, we can continue on with helping you use it.
