Optiplex 745 BIOS update will not allow UBUNTU to be installed.

After upgrading to BIOS 2.6.3 on Dell Optiplex 745, it is not possible to install Ubuntu. At the CD boot screen, if you click on install or try the system will FREEZE.

set to boot from cd first .. then put the cd in the cd player and restart ..

Boot order has nothing to do with this issue. I am able to boot to the CD menu.

Didn't you see that I tried to INSTALL and than the system froze. If the Live CD tries to load UBUNTU or the install, the whole system locks up.

here is a link to download 9.04 download it and try to install it .. if it works you should be able to install 9.10 with out any problem .. if not you will have to remove the updated bios that you have already installed
