I cannot upgrade 9.04 to 9.10. have used disc. Get message Input not supported

I have tried many times to upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 both on line and with disc. All with the same results... at the end of the download, a message in a box which says: "input not supported" I have upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 with no problems.

Could it be problem with new flat screen added since last upgrade? It is a acer xl63w. Anyone else have this problem?

Before you had "download not supported".
What did you change ?

Now, it could be the flat screen.

Try to change the resolution of screen.
It could be a combination of size and frequency.
