I downloaded Google earth file in a bin extension, any idea on how to install it new with ubuntu thanks

Hi,
Go to folder containing the bin file (in the terminal , i.e., $ prompt). change its permission to execute (using chmod u+x .bin), then run this file as ./filename.bin (press enter) it is dot / filename.bin

Please tell: are there any reason to install google earth not using medibuntu repository (strongly suggested)... ?
