tablet pc driver problem

Asked by johnll

Hi there, I have bought a tablet netbook recently. It runs well in Windows XP.
But after installing the Ubuntu 9.10, it cannot detect the touch screen and wifi.
I have the driver for Windows XP, but dont know how to install in Ubuntu (I am a newbie to Linux OS).
Can any one help to install the driver (inf file) for the NUVOTON HID touch screen and (exe file) for the VIA WLAN?
Thanks.

I have tried to install the VIA WLAN driver with "WINE"
But it shows up that "is not a supported device bus type".
I have tried all the driver in Windows XP, they all work fine.
Please help...

Hi, if the Wi-fi driver isn't automatically detected, you can "install" the windows version using ndiswrapper (Applications->Software Center-> "Search for Ndis").
Couple tips, use just one user (you can merge them)... and remove the "needs information" state if you want someone to help you (It means that information is needed in order to help you, not that you need information).

Hope it helps!
