ubuntu 9.10 from 9.04 mouse pad don't work

Hi, I have just upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04. My mouse pad is not working in 9.10, initially it was working perfectly under 9.04. My laptop is Lenovo 3000 N100.

add the boot option:

i8042.reset

in /etc/default/grub

then run:

sudo update-grub

Should be ok

/etc/default/grub does not exist... but solved it.. just removed the old kernel and installed the new one through synaptic package manager... thanks...
