importing photos from HP Photosmart M437 Camera

Asked by drmorrell

In attempting to import photos I get the message "could not lock the device" and the attempt fails. I have been able to import photos previously, but in the past week I have not. I have tried every trick I know (which isn't much) and am at a loss.

Did you upgrade some software since the time it worked ?
And when it worked for the last time ?
Which software do you use to import photos ?

"ls -l /usr/lib/libgphoto2*" gave me files of year 2009 only. Is it the same for you ?
