How to heighlight text in pdf file?

Hi
Want program are you using to view PDF? Is it al PDF files or just the one.
try it use a different program it may make a difference, or if it is just that one file it may be locked so that it can not be copied.

Actually it is case with all pdf files, i am not able to highlight the text as i used to do with Acrobat 7 in windows, the tool called "Comment tool" appear in Acrobat 7 and in almost each version.
I dont get what do u mean by use different programme?

Since you've assigned this question to firefox package, which might not be the one you read your .pdf files with, could you please verify which app you're using actually?
Is it Evince, epdfview, impressive, xpdf-reader, acroread?
