You can use the liveCD to reinstall grub:

hi :)

Which release of Ubuntu are you running as a Live Usb session? Could you get to a terminal console and enter this command

sudo fdisk -l

where " -l" is a lower case " -L" and give us the output of that in here too?
Thanks and regards from
Tom :)

Too Late I had to do a complete Re-install of the Harddisk as it seems Mandriva replaced and wiped out the Main Ubuntu Partition with Ubuntu 9.04 on it, Sorry

Hi :)

Ok, inside Mandriva can you get to a command-line and type in

sudo fdisk -l

the different versions of linux all have about the same comman-line so the command should work with Mandriva just as easily as with Ubuntu. The command should show all your partitions on all your drives.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
