Clock and Weather applet bug

Asked by zubozrout

Hi.
The temperature and sky displayed in the weather and clock applets for the town Holešov, Czech Republic is wrong.
According to the weather applet, it has been 23°C / 296K in Holešov for more than 2 years.

Thanks everyone

Hi Zubozrout,
I think this may be related to the brainstorm idea below:
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/17670/

I just changed my location in the weather applet to "Holešov" & I can confirm it says 23°C but the wind speed for me is North / 3.0 knots (5.6 km/h) whereas google is currently showing -3°C & Wind: E at 10 km/h. I believe that this is more than likely an issue with the weather source data rather than the actual applet code.

As a workaround, you may wish to install a dock (such as cairo dock, gnome-do/docky, AWN or DockbarX). The weather source is customisable in these dock applications & you should be able to add a weather source that has more accurate & up-to-date information (such as one of the sites listed in the linked brainstorm idea).

Can you help with this problem?
