I cannot get adobe flash player to download to my system

Asked by Hellminer

I recently installed Ubuntu 9. whatever (yes, I'm computer illiterate, thank you). I cannot get my hulu or other videos to download. Apparently here is a problem with adobe. Not sure of course (did I mention computer illiterate?) Anyways, any and all help will be gladly accepted. For those wonderful many, please remember to speak in dumb, blue collar speak when it comes to instructions, sometimes people helping expect more than what I'm capable of understanding. My apologies for that!

To remove other flash plug-ins and install only the one from Adobe open "Applications >> Accessories >> Terminal", then paste (CTRL+SHIFT+V) the code below in the terminal window and hit enter:

sudo apt-get remove swfdec-mozilla
sudo apt-get remove mozilla-plugin-gnash
sudo apt-get remove adobe-flashplugin
sudo apt-get remove flashplugin-nonfree
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

Can you help with this problem?
