Be sure your pc meet requirements https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SystemRequirements

Please check the md5sum https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM of the already downloaded and burned iso
compare with the MD5SUMS you will find here: http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/ and if it is wrong

- Install a torrent client: http://www.utorrent.com
- download the iso using a .torrent file from here http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/
- recheck the md5sum to be sure is a good iso file

Then burn it, be sure to burn the cd at lower speed you can do and with the data verify active:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

Then if you still get the read error and if your pc can boot from a usb key please use it to install Ubuntu
Using the unetbootin utility http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ made a bootable usb key with the install iso on it and install using the usb key.

"Burn software: Nero, K3b and Brasero."

Does this mean that you have Ubuntu installed already and you just want to upgrade?or you are using other linux distro right now?Anyhow download same iso with torrent and point download to the folder where existing iso is.That way you will not download all iso.Torrent will just check iso for bad files and replace them with good ones. After that run md5sum again.Burn iso at lower possible speed.

" A question was asked in a language (Croatian)"

Can you explain this?
