Is there a version of Skygrabber that will work in Ubuntu?

Asked by coljohnhannibalsmith

I'm using Hardy x64 and I'm wondering if there's a version of Skygrabber that will work on Ubuntu.

I've downloaded the trial versions of Skygrabber and Tuner4PC, but these are for Windows only. I suppose I could load these in Wine, which I have, but I don't know how to do it? I haven't even been able to get the version of Internet Explorer that comes with Wine 1.0 to work. However, Notepad works.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Hannibal

Looks like its windows only. I suggest you contact the publishers directly to request linux support.

You may have to shell out and setup a dual boot for the app.

I may have to load Vista on a small portion of the HDD for this to work. I will only be using Windows for a TV Tuner card and this app. Can I repartition Ubuntu in my existing installation or will I have to completely wipe-out the drive and start over?

Thanks, John

You can resize the partition to leave some unpartitioned space to install the OS o (Vista needs a minimum 7Gb). Backup your data before just incase of disaster.

Can you help with this problem?
