Dropbox added folder to home directory

Asked by meow

Hi

Im using ubuntu 9.10 with dropbox. I just installed dropbox and i noticed the way it makes a folder in your home directory-is there a way of removing this folder but still use dropbox online? i just tried to delete it but a pop up came up saying that the folder is required for dropbox to function properly.

I want to remove this folder as im worried that it might pose as a avenue for a hacker attack-should i be concerned?

Nah, you should be fine. If you are using Ubuntu 9.10 there's a pretty
awesome utility already installed on your computer called Ubuntu one,
it gives you like a gig of online storage space and its pretty safe :D

only want to use it. That is a tribute to how good Linux is.
