how do i install yahoo messenger with web cam step by step

i am new to ubuntu and i want to install yahoo messenger on my laptop so i can use my laptop web cam too i am not computer smart and i need it explained to me in a step by step process is there anything i can do i dont know what gnome or gaim or any of that stuff i am just using the sytem i was given on my laptop and i dont like pigien chat either

I would much rather recommend using empathy, its already installed on
your computer and its easy to use webcam with it [1]
