how do i get limewire to work

HOW DO I GET JAVA ON UBUNTA? AS I WANT 2 USE LIMEWIRE BUT IT FAILS WHEN I TRY 2 INSTALL IT. I TRYED DOWNLOADING FROM THE SUN JAVA SITE JAVA BUT IT DONT WORK PLEASE HELP HOW CAN I GET JAVA TO RUN FOR UBUNTA 9.10 PLEASE MAKE IT EASY 4 ME AS I ANIT 2 GOOD WITH PC THANKS DJ

just a suggestion (don't kick me)
maybe u should installjava runtime environment (jre), i recommend v6
