Ubuntu update manager wont update firefox

Hi

Im using ubuntu 9.10 with firefox 3.5.5. but according to this http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-10416753-264.html this version of firefox is no longer secure. Update manager wont install this though-it says i have the latest updates already. Should i go directly to the firefox website and install manually?

You can add the ppa for Firefox 3.5.6 using this link:

I dont mean to sound harsh but when will Canonical provide official support for this firefox update? I dont like the idea that this is not in the official repositories.
