dual boot xp cant install

Hi, I have ubuntu 9.04 installed on my laptop its an asus x83vb its pretty much a gaming machine. Linux dont really support many of my games I get some to run but as good as they ran on windows thats the reason why i need windows.

Problem is i go to install XP and it gets ready to start up XP so that the process can being i get the blue screen error of death, the one where it says your machine may have a virus blah blah blah. Well I completely removed everything off my hard drive and nothing was left not even grub. I tried again and same message, i re-install ubuntu and ran a virus scan and come up clean i tried 2 diffrent Xp cds. It did have Vista on here but only have the recovery cd for it and the partition is not there any more. I removed it making a full move to linux. Didnt know i couldnt run everything i do linux. Any ideas what the problem maybe?

Not an ubuntu question. Installing XP is not supported here.

you can install vista from recovery dvd (i did it several times). i don't think it's a virus. I think these xp's don't support your laptop hardware or maybe they're broken distributives. there are a lot of not working xp's now

when i try to re-install from the recover disk when it get to the partition set up and i click ok, my screen goes white with big red ERROR on the screen i have tried also to dl vista and burn it to a cd but with ubuntu it does want to burn windows stuff theres always a write error. i can burn other file and stuff with no problems. just wondering if there is a linux that is made to support gaming?
