Want to elaborate what you want to do?

Remote Desktop Viewer is client that lets you connect to VNC servers.
If you start the client , then click help , content it got "getting started" page that pretty much covers anything you need to connect to a remote server.

Thanks for answering my question but sorry I've got still a doubt, what are vnc servers and do they need to be installed in remote machine ? if yes how they can be installed?

You installl a VNC server on whatever computer you want to remote control.

Remote Desktop Viewer (a vnc client) connects to a VNC server (another computer with a vnc server installed)

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VNC should explain what VNC is all about. And how to enable a ubuntu desktop to act as a VNCserver. (it's multiplatform so it can be used as server and/or client on not only ubuntu).

I cant give a more precis explaination if you cant tell what you are trying to achive.

Thanks for answering, I just was trying connect to another computer in my local network, but I don't know exactly how to install the server in the other computer (Microsoft XP) and what is the address I should give to my VNC client to connect ( IP adress?)
Sorry I'm a beginner I was just make some practice.
