Have you added any repositories beyond the ones that are available by default? (note that I'm not talking about enabling ones there but not activated - I mean adding them.)

Apart from the update problem is the rest of your system working fine? If so then i wouldn't worry too much about not being able to get the updates, they are seldom about security and almost always just increase some obscure functionality.

I think this is a know issue about the Dell Mini 9 (i think bug-squad made a fix for it) and hopefully i'll be able to look it up tomorrow unless someone else finds it first. If you can install and upgrade then really don't worry about this message.

Hope that helps!
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

My Mini 12 has developed the same problem with the same messages. I have not had an update for sixty+ days. It also prevents me from adding new software.

John, please post this as a new quesion. Launchpad (unlike other forums) doesn't have a way of dealing with older questions and also it's quite possible that you are getting a similar result for quite different reasons. This link should help you re-post your question

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
