inbuilt web camera

The in-built camera in my Laptop is not working. When I am trying to access through F-Spot Photo Manager it displays "NO Cameras Detected" While my camera is working successfully with the windows. I am using a LENOVO Laptop. Model No. Y410 77578BQ.

F-spot is not the program you should use. F-spot is intended to be used for downloading photos from a digital camera to computer and organize them.

If you want to make a photo with a web cam, you should try others programs, as cheese.
Maybe it is not already installed, but it is in Ubuntu repositories, so can be easily installed using Synaptic.
