There is no package called Kubuntu-Desktop

Asked by maxquig

I want to install a KDE desktop on my Ubuntu system. I searched the documentation. It says "install the kubuntu-desktop package." A search of All available software packages finds only "Kubuntu Device Database" and "Language Support". There is no "kubuntu-desktop" to install. How can I install KDE without downloading the ISO image of the KUBUNTU CD?

Thanks for the answer. In fact I found the same answer by searching in Google. It worked. I got KDE installed. Now it boots kubunto as kubutu instead of ubuntu. I can choose gnome or kde. Still, it does seem strange to me that it's not in the Add-Update list of pachages in the Graphical Add-Update software. Also, if the Help document wants to be helpfull ,it should explain how to install kubuntu-desktop.
