no sound with sb -x-fi after fresh install of ubuntu yelp

Asked by desmain

I just installed ubuntu 7.04 feisty fawn.
I runs quit well. Problem is that i have no sound.
The sound card is visible in the device manager with the following info:
Device Tab
 Vendor: Creative Labs
 Device: SB X-Fi
 Status: Status
 Bus Type: PCI
 Device Type: Unknown
 Capabilities: Unknown
PCI Tab
 Vendor: Creative Labs
 Product: SB X-Fi
 OEM Vendor: Creative Labs
 OEM Product: Unknown (0x0023)
Advanced Tab
Too much to mention for now.

When I Open Volume Coontrol I only get the microphone from the web-cam.

I read in another post about sudo modprobe snd-sbawe but this was with a awe 32 soundcard

What must i do to make the SB X-Fi soundcard work?

Thanks.
