dvd playback

as avery new user i wonder if any one cantellme how to play a dvd ?
   i get this error in totem ,Could not read title information for DVD.
if i try real player i get this the " following components are required" x-nautilus-desktop ?
would be glad of any help.

Hi Phil,

for all those formats that are non-free or in any other way restricted (ie. wmv, mp3, avi, encrypted dvd's) you will need to install some codecs. You can find some useful information at

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats

If you're using breezy badger, you might also want to

sudo apt-get install totem-xine

With those codecs installed, playing back dvd's should work like a charm.

i have down loadded turbo print -194 but when i try to config get the following error:etails: Failed to execute child process "xtpconfig" (No such file or directory)?
can any one help
