Troubleshooting Documentation Error

Using Ubuntu 8.0.4 help. In Internet and Networks/Wirelessw Networking/Troubleshooting section 3.2.1, I am trying t it o check for device recognition. The instruction says, "Open Device Manager by clicking System/Preferences/Hardware Information. In Preferences, I do not see the Hardware Information topic. Has it been renamed or moved?

It seems that application has been removed from the recent release 8.04 but someone forgot to update the manual :-)

you could install gnome-device-manager and if you fancy TUI ones you can install lshw or hwinfo

As a former tech writer, I'm not surprised that the doc updates come last. As a Linux newbie, I need all the help I can find.
