An icon is on my top panel and it cant be deleted

Asked by dustbindiva

It's the globe icon but not the Firefox browser globe icon. I cannot get it off the panel and I cannot change the panel by right clicking on it. The globe icon is a web page that I looked at but I did not bookmark it. I dont know why it is on my panel.. Any ideas?

Do you get a text box if you hover the cursor over itit. Can you please give a screens hot to highlight the issue (or just the portion of the screen). You can use imageshack or similar to make a URL out of the image.

Thanks

Have you tried right clicking the icon while pressing the alt key?

Did you try the RIGHT click with alt? This should not immediately open the page but show a pop-up.

I solved the problem of the irascible icon on the top panel. I deleted the information in the dialog box shown above here, and closed the browser. This morning when I booted up it was gone.
