adding WIFI printer

Asked by TC

I have FINALLY gotten my WIFI back working on this old Lenovo 3000N100. Yippee! But, I cannot add the WIFI printer. It is an HP OfficeJet 5742. I went to System>Administration>Printing>Server>New BUT, when I click "New" my option from there is greyed out. I cannot choose to hit "printer". What are my option? Running 10.04
Thanks,
Toni
PS When I click on the WIFI icon, edit connections, network connections, wireless tab reveals that printer in the WIFI list. But, when I click it, then click Add, I have no idea what to type into those fields , i.e. SSID etc. So I've pretty much tried everything I know to try. And, I made sure the printer is putting out the WIFI signal as well Thanks in advance for your help!!

If you are running Ubuntu 10.04, then you will have many more unfixable problems. Please see site below.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

10.04 is well past EOL, as you can see at above site. Suggest you remove 10.04 and install 14.04. If you don't like the look and feel of Ubuntu 14.04, then try Xubuntu 14.04 or Lubuntu.
