My driver is NOT functioning. The harddrive will NOT "talk" to the printer since I downloaded ALL files from Ubuntu to the harddrive. Please offer viable sloutions only.

Asked by Teri M.Giblin

Ever since I downloaded ALL of my files from Ubuntu onto the Linix harddrive, my computer (HA!) will no longer "talk" to the printer. Please offer viable solutions only. Other than: THROW THIS WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT & CONSTANT PAIN IN YOUR ASS & MIND SO CALLED "COMPUTER FROM HELL" OUT THE FUCKING WINDOW & SAVE YOURSELF WHILE THERE'S STILL X!!!!
Do U know how many X's I've thought that? Hmm..., Well, do you?! I anticipate an answer!
WHAT I THINK SHOULD HAPPEN:
I think you people should give me a viable solution that will ACTUALLY work w/ as little fuss as possible. I think U should make the piece of shit computer "user friendly" & offer Tech Support w/ real live people who actually LNOW what they're talking about.
I think the LOT OF U should be DRAWN & QUARTED in the Village Green for foisting this Piece of Shit onto the unsuspecting public.
I think the LOT OF U should have to PAY an ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF $$ to those of us who have had to suffer @ your hands for the REST OF OUR BORN DAYS!!!
I think the LOT OF U should memorize this sentence; "' All ye who enter here Abandon Hope.'" because it will be the last sentence you'll ever read. It is above the Gates to Hell according to Dante'. WELCOME to the Seven Circles! U belong here for ETERNITY!
OKAY! I take that last one back. It was a little severe.
I KNOW U SHOULD CERTAINLY OFFER ME A VIABLE SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM!
THANK-YOU!

All your ranting is not helping a thing. You should put your energy into giving information we need to help you. Also the people who give answers, are Ubuntu users, not programers and not paid teck support, nor did they make the OS. First, need to know make and model is your printer. This is a must know. Which version of Ubuntu are you using. This is a must know. It would be very helpful to know make and model of your computer. Need to know what driver you installed that is not functioning. If you want a viable answer, then you must give viable information. Is this a new install? There are more possible questions, but if you answer these, someone may solve or get started solving your problem.

So is the issue here that you copied some data to a hard drive and it is now unreadable?
How does this relate to a printer?
It would help if you also stated the make and model of the printer and how it connects to the system.
Is your OS fully up to date?

If you try telling us useful information rather than a pathetic rant that helps nobody, most of all YOU then we can help. Otherwise, what can we do?

Think about it......

Can you please explain what the real problem is? I am not able to filter the details out of that rant.

You have created another question about downloading your files from Ubuntu one https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+question/252479
Have you meanwhile been able to retrieve your files or do you still have a problem with it?

For the problem with your printer: What make and model is it? How is it connected - via USB?
If it is USB, please switch on the printer, open a terminal window and issue the commands

uname -a
lsb_relase -a
lsusb

Then select all output and copy/paste into this question document.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Teri M.Giblin for more information if necessary.
