Windows 2003 AD to ubuntu migration

Hi,

     We are planning to migrate from current windows 2003 Active Directory server to ubuntu AD server.

first of all need to know is it possible.if yes,then recommend the stabilized environment & how to do it.

Personally I would use a Windows server as you are wanting to use AD which is a Microsoft technology
